My name is Corina but everyone calls me Coco. The story of Cocuy is a story of our family. I am a nutritionist and a mother of four children. When my eldest was diagnosed celiac, I began creating my own flour blends and recipes. Shortly after, families and friends began requesting cakes and favours for their special occasions and my passion for nutrition, baking, and craft naturally evolved into helping families celebrate their special and festive moments.

 

We tell our children every night that they are the brightest lights for our world. So together, we came up with the name 'Cocuy' which is the name of a bright bioluminescent beetle from my own childhood in Venezuela.

 

Photography was always a big part of our family. My grandfather actually brought the first Kodak cameras to Venezuela. My father used to own a camera store and he introduced the world of DSLRs to my husband. Our children turned my husband into a passionate photographer and videographer. He has been volunteering at Churches for more than ten years. Despite running his own consulting practice, he now helps me with the events as well.
